I went to my cousin's wedding recently and fell in love with draping the ceiling! This fabulous detail really adds something extra to your venues. It's that detail that is going to make your guests stop and say, "wow".

Royal Wedding Trends: Flowers

There has been a lot of talk about the Royal Wedding, so we here at MasterPiece Weddings, thought we should give you our 10 cents.

Why not, everyone else is.

So, first up, flowers. Kate's flowers have been a huge conversation within the wedding community. Too small? Too simple? Oddly shaped? Not enough?

But, our opinion, is that they are perfect. Charming. Simple. Classy and beautiful just like Kate.

There is so much fan fare and pomp and circumstance surrounding this incredible wedding, that she didn't need a bouquet that carried her.

Our 10 cents.

PS - Did you know that her flowers were hand picked from the garden that Queen Victoria planted after her wedding. So sweet.

I think my next wedding (to my husband of course) would have to be planned around Peonies Season, my bouquet would certainly be a big puff ball of Peonies! All white of course.

We had a client that wanted something whimsical and beautiful for her bridesmaids bouquets. So we came up with Lavender... so pretty and smelled just lovely!



Lavender is not just for  your underwear drawer anymore!

Fall and Winter Flowers

We can't help ourselves, we love the flowers that are in season right now and thought we should give some tips to you brides. It doesn't matter how much you love a certain flower, you need to make sure it is in season by asking your florist. If your particular flower isn't in season, you may have to pay extra to have it shipped from somewhere across the world or you will just have to change your date...please, don't do that!

Crane Making Fun

A few weeks ago Dan from Unforgettable Events came in and we had a paper crane making party! Dan was using the paper cranes for his bridal show display so we gladly offered to help out with our super paper animal making skills!
