Red carpet faux-paw! Lisa Vanderpump's beloved Giggy tumbles over in his tuxedo

Lisa Vanderpump is rarely seen without her dog Giggy perched in her arms.

But the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star finally let the pampered Pomeranian stand on his own four paws last night - with rather disastrous results.

The pooch appeared to fall flat on his face after she placed him down on the red carpet for his moment in the spotlight.

It's unclear if he had tripped up in his tiny purple tuxuedo or if he was perhaps suffering the effects of not getting enough exercise.

The pair were attending the 22nd Annual Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) Media Awards in Los Angeles last night.

Vanderpump arrived at the gala initially holding Giggy, but when she wanted to show off her frock in all its glory she put the dog down so he could pose too.

But the pocket-sized pup didn't fare very well being on the ground and immediately toppled over.

Lisa was mortified and rushed to help the Pomeranian up who is like her baby and constant companion.

Giggy appeared to be unharmed and enjoyed the rest of the night with his owner.

Later Vanderpump tweeted: 'Oh carrying him is the job I love the most... he rocked his tuxedo tonight...'

The 50-year-old looked age-defying in a green strapless gown with a peacock feather accent at the event honouring outstanding representations of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people in the media.

The mother-of-two was, as always, dripping in diamonds which were her perfect accessory.

Giggy meanwhile looked dapper in a purple velvet body suit with a tuxedo 'shirt' and bowtie.

Although Vanderpump has four dogs in her sprawling mansion, Giggy, full name Gigolo Vanderpump, is the one that rules the roost.

The little canine suffers with alopecia, fur issues and allergies and gets lots of special attention from his owner.

He has to wear doggy clothes to protect his skin as most of his body is fur-less.

Lisa has said of Giggy: 'I just adore him. I've always had dogs, and I'm absolutely dog mad. But this is probably the smartest little dog I've ever had'.

Giggy may only be two years old but the celebrity pup already has his own website and probably commands more attention than Vanderpump herself.

And now the dog has signed with a talent agency.

'It's true', Vanderpump told UsMagazine. 'He's with CAA. He's very talented and ready to work'.

The Creative Artists' Agency are the same powerhouse that represents A-listers like Reese Witherspoon, Jennifer Aniston, Sandra Bullock, Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise.

When asked what kind of jobs Giggy is after, Lisa said: 'He can do charity; he is open to anything. The only thing he isn't very goo at is radio'.

'I love that dog to the point of obsession', Lisa told People magazine.

Lisa has three other dogs at home whom she calls the loves of her life - Lollipop, Pikachu and Buki.

Lisa presented an award last night with fellow reality star Tori Spelling who also brought her tiny dog along.

The former actress lives in Beverly Hills with her husband Ken who she has been married to for 28 years and they run two restaurants together ini Los Angeles - Villa Blanca and SUR.
